Matlab 2015a error when starting CONN 15g
Hi Alfonso,
I'm getting the following error when I start conn 15g in matlab 2015a, any ideas here on how to resolve this? Thanks!

Sorry I am not able to replicate this issue yet (I am testing this on Matlab 2015a / CONN15g on a Mac OsX 10.9.5). Could please let me know more details about your specific environment? (operating system, plus any info that may be relevant like non-default matlab startup arguments, or whether this is running locally or in a remote or virtual environment) Also, if you can let me know the output of the commands below that may be helpful as well:
disp(version('-java'));
disp(javax.swing.UIManager.get('ComboBoxUI'));

Thanks. It seems I resolved the error for now. It appears it was a combination of things. we have just transitioned to ubuntu on our mac server and I am connecting remotely via mac os x 10.9.5 and trying to open previously analyzed data. Matlab was throwing errors and crashing but adding the flag -softwareopengl at the command line when I call matlab has helped and I moved my conn toolbox path to the top, so far so good for now at least.
I'm wondering if I could contact you directly via e-mail regarding the possibility of giving a talk to our group in the near future?

Hi Catherine,
This looks like perhaps Matlab is having some issues with your system JVM (Java Virtual Machine). Typically (for relatively new Matlab releases) Matlab installations come with their own internal JVM release, and using Matlab with other JVM versions may cause these sort of issues (see this post for additional info: http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/a...). If you have recently updated your server OS I would probably suggest to check first whether this issue seems to appear in other Matlab applications as well (e.g. run spm or other gui intensive Matlab program and see whether you get the same sort of issues there). If the problem seems to be generic (appears in multiple Matlab applications) then perhaps simply re-downloading and installing Matlab will fix this (this should make sure that Matlab is using the appropriate JVM release).
