BrainAligner Sample Warp
Hello Dr. Peng,
For the provided published target brain and two sample NC82 subjects that you provide on the BrainAligner site, when you note that they need to be globally, and then locally aligned, does this mean they should both first be globally and locally aligned to the target, and then locally aligned to each other? I'm wondering if there is a way to locally align both to the target at one time.
Thank you for any insight,
Katherine

Yes the global alignment (which is essentially just rotation and
scaling and displacement) should be done first, if the brain images
are clearly not globally aligned.
Once the brains are roughly aligned globally, you can use local alignment to warp the details.

RE: BrainAligner Sample Warp
Thank you.
When I attempt to globally, then locally warp my 8 bit 1024 X 1024 X 59 image to the published target brain from your site, the top of my brain is cut off, and many z-slices in the beginning and end of the stack are blank.
Do you know why this may be?
Thank you very much, I am quite new to image processing
