Solved: build Vaa3D on Ubuntu 16.04
I am trying to compile Vaa3D on Ububtu 16.04. gcc 5.4 is installed
by default. Then I met some problems. Luckily, the problems are all
easily solved. I put all the steps here for future reference.
After downloading and setting up everything following the instruction, ./build.linux will generate a lot of errors. Most errors are related to ambiguous 'list' in boost. There are also errors related to GCC 5 and ITK compatibility (should have been solved by kitware already according to search). I guess it is related to GCC 5. So I downgrade GCC 5.4 to GCC 4.8.
To downgrade, first install gcc 4.8 and g++ 4.8, then generate alternatives:

sudo apt-get install gcc-4.8
sudo apt-get install g++-4.8
sudo update-alternatives --install /usr/bin/gcc gcc /usr/bin/gcc-4.8 40 --slave /usr/bin/g++ g++ /usr/bin/g++-4.8
Then I received some error message related to missing "GL/gl.h" and
"GL/glu.h". Seems opengl-dev is not installed. To install:sudo apt-get install g++-4.8
sudo update-alternatives --install /usr/bin/gcc gcc /usr/bin/gcc-4.8 40 --slave /usr/bin/g++ g++ /usr/bin/g++-4.8
sudo apt-get install mesa-common-dev
sudo apt-get install libglu1-mesa-dev
Now, vaa3d can build perfectly fine. The only errors I received are
some bigneuron plugins which will not impact the use of Vaa3D.sudo apt-get install libglu1-mesa-dev

Very helpful. Thanks Hanbo! I will take a note for my
colleagues and myself.
Could these be included in the Vaa3D wiki?

I have just wrapped up Hanbo's msg and added 'Things to do for
Ubuntu' in https://github.com/Vaa3D/Vaa3D_Wiki/wiki...
Will keep updating it when we find anything new noticeable.
