Is there a limit for sample size of studies?
Hi SDM team,
How the number of subjects weighted in a SDM effect-size compute? I got several studies fit my include criteria, but with small sample size(case-reports with only one subject), is there someway I could compute a effect size from these studies? Or i have to exclude those studies? Is there a limit for sample size of studies?
Best!

RE: Is there a limit for sample size of studies?
Dear Wei,
strictly speaking the sample size could be very small (though not 1 as variance cannot be estimated). However, I would suggest discarding studies with small sample sizes. A sample size limit commonly used is 10, though you may want to use larger limits.
With the best wishes,
Joaquim
