Affine Transformation
Hello,
Thank you for this great visualization tool!

I have a surface mesh created from merging the .pial surfaces generated in freesurfer.  I am trying to map nodes on my surface, however, the MRI voxel -> MNI transformation of coordinates is a bit off.  The nodes are ok on the standard surfaces, but significantly off from the freesurfer surface.   It seems like BrainNet viewer modifies the freesurfer coordinate system, such that everything should be in regular MNI?

Hello,

Thanks for using BrainNet Viewer. The toolkit doesn't modify the coordinates during the merging. Could you please check if your pial surface is in a native space?

Best,
Mingrui

Hi Mingrui,

I believe the pial surface is in freesurfer space still, not patient native space but also not MNI.

Thank you,
Erica

Hi Erica,

Could you please attach the relevant files (surface, node and corresponding volume files)?

Best,
Mingrui

Hi Mingrui,

I have emailed the merged surface created on BrainNet Viewer from freesurfer's rh.pial and lh.pial, in addition to the node file.

Thank you!
Erica
