Good, or bad actually, sorry to hear you're having them, I hate RF spikes but we all get them from time to time. Repeatedly tearing apart the scanner until the source is found and tightened, replaced or whatever is very time-consuming and frustrating. Is the issue solved on your scanner now? I only said good because I think 3dDespike should only be used for gradient/RF spikes, and not motion.

I have a few questions about your EPI acquisition, do you use GRAPPA, partial Fourier or multiband? If not, then despiking can work well for removing RF spikes. Fourier-based spike removal doesn't work well if partial Fourier or GRAPPA are on, and probably also if using multiband. I recommend doing despiking at the very beginning of the processing stream, right before SLOMOCO.
