I think the latest version 14n, checks for the SPM version and uses the new segment option

This is the corresponding line in the conn_setup_preproc.m file in version 14n, when the version in spm 12
" matlabbatch{end+1}.spm.spatial.preproc.channel.vols={}; "

I think, a version update might help. But, I'm a new user of CONN myself and not an expert, so I could be completely wrong!
