Multivariate regression - second-level
Hello,
I am running a multivariate regression using the CONN toolbox to look at the effect of 4 types of repetitive behaviour on connectivity within a sample of subjects with autism. I am confused about how to set up the results - my variables are the participants "ASD" and then the four types of behaviour scores "RB1", "RB2"……RB4.
In second level results, should I select "ASD" and each "RB" separately while setting the contrast to [0, 1] for each RB variable? Alternatively, should I select "ASD", and all RB variables and then set the contrast to for example [0, 1, 0, 0, 0] to look at the effect of RB1 on connectivity while taking into account the other RB variables? For a multivariate regression I am leaning towards the latter option, as I feel the first option disregards the effect of the other RB variables on connectivity, which might give me a skewed result.
Any advice about what the difference between these two options is or which option I should choose would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance,
Jenna
