Could you please check if your txt file is an ASCII file? Or can it be loaded in the matlab by 'M = load('filename');'? If so, could you please upload your node, edge and edge color index files? Thus, we can have a test. 

This option supports up to 20 different indices, and the modular option of node also supports the same number of colors. One can change the color of different modules by select the module index from the combo-box.
