We have been working on a CE release on Ubuntu 14.04, which should be out by the end of the month.  You can run the CE installer yourself on an Ubuntu 14.04 machine (download from the "Downloads" section of this project at http://www.nitrc.org/frs/?group_id=664) but there are some library and compatibility issues in resulting machine.
