   Does the "surficeOld" version work? This version uses legacy OpenGL, so it can work on computers that are unable to use the modern version. You may also want to see if your graphics drivers are up to date - recent versions of the Intel driver have fixed problems. Finally, some Windows laptops include both an integrated graphics card as well as discrete graphics card. If this is the case, you may want to set the program to work with the discrete graphics card. Unfortunately, the implementation for choosing the graphics card differs from vendors. On my computer, I can select the application in the file explorer and choose to run with the NVidia graphics card - it looks like this:
