Hi all, I don't really have any ideas, sorry - I'm always good at pointing out potential stumbling blocks, but not as good at coming up with solutions! We couldn't offer anything on our end due to the requirement for NYUMC user accounts, not just accounts on our servers... You should certainly ask Mike but I imagine the same issue will arise for access to the NKI cluster.<div>

We were thinking to have a couple of raw and preprocessed databases on hard-drives on-site. Then we thought about having some dedicated computing resources, but they will necessary be small. I will for sure be able to create accounts on an 8-thread machines, and maybe a 24-cores. </div>
<div>I am not quite sure yet how I will deal with privacy issues. I may create a dedicated group on the server with restricted access to the rest of the server. We would also need to make sure that anybody interested in using such resource has all the tools installed and available to him/her. Thanks to neurodebian this is easy for ubuntu or debian based system, but it can get tricky on other platforms. Would anybody out there be able to contribute some computational resources (which also means creating user accounts and installing software) ?</div>

For Brainhack 2012 we are hoping to seed <a href="http://brainhack.org/" target="_blank">brainhack.org</a> with a few projects that will take place during the brainhack. Once you come up with a project idea please add it to <a href="http://brainhack.org/" target="_blank">brainhack.org</a>. You can either add the post directly or use the "+submit a new project" form to submit the project and I will add it. Please do this as soon as possible, we are hoping to lead by example and set the tone for what we expect at the brainhack. Maarten has already come up with a cool project to develop a tool to automate the generation of figures. Other possible ideas include data-mining the neurosynth database, applying your favorite regularized covariance estimation to the estimating connectomes, or even just performing freesurfer on the ADHD-200 data. Let me know if you would like any help coming up with a project idea, or if you have any problems adding the project to the <a href="http://brainhack.org/" target="_blank">brainhack.org</a> site.<br>
