DTIProcess library description

In this wiki we describe the different tool part of the DTIProcess library

1. dtiestim This first tool is used to compute the tensor field out of the set of dwi with the gradient directions.
2. dtiprocess dtiprocess is a tool managing tensor fields. It allows to compute scalar diffusion measurements from the tensor field as FA, MD, lbds. It can also deform a tensor field given as input transformation fields.
3. fibertrack fibertrack is a fiber tracking tool. Given a tensor field and a region of interest images, this tool will create fiber file in vtk or fib format.
4. fiberprocess fiberprocess is a tool that allows to manage fiber files. It can binarize fiber file to create images with voxel set to 1 if fibers pass through. It can also apply a deformation field to a fiber file to either deform the geometry or map diffusion values on a fixed geometry.
5. maxcurvature maxcurvature compute the second derivative of an image. It is used to compute FA curvature images used in the DTI atlas building process.
6. dtiaverage dtiaverage compute the average of an arbitrary number of tensor field. Used in the last step of atlas building process when all the tensor fields have been deformed in the atlas space
