jist:PluginSelector
From NITRC Wiki
Start-up and Introduction
The MAPS Plug-in Selector is generally used to test out a module by itself, to check it out or to debug. It can also be used if you just want to use one module, whereas the Pipeline Layout Tool allows for a chain of modules to be interconnected. When the Plug-in Selector first starts up, this is what you will see:
Interface
Once the first window opens up, select the plug-in that you want to work with by navigating through the folders:
From there, you can interact with the plug-in module in much the same way that you would work
with it if it were in the Layout Tool, also described below.
Usage
Load the Plug-in Selector via the Run Configurations menu. Let the Plug-in Selector load, and browse to your modules directory, which is “Base” by default. Select the plug-in you want to use by double clicking it. A menu will pop up with a number of tabs. In each tab you can configure the plug-in to your liking. There may (or may not) be tabs for data sources, numbers, points, etc. Additionally, there is a “View” button that shows developer information about the module. Click Ok to save the module. Run the plug-in by navigating to the plug-in menu in the MIPAV window and run it. The output will display in the outputs window.
The purpose of the Plug-in Selector is to provide the ability to individually test plug-ins, as well as debug functionality. Indeed, testing could be done by just placing one module in the Pipeline Layout Tool (described in the next section), but this method provides a more contained setup. Additionally, the execution time is displayed, which can prove useful in certain applications.
