How to Remove JIST from MIPAV
- JIST is stored as a MIPAV plugin. Currently, all MIPAV plugins are stored in a single directory. There is no reliable way to remove "just one" plugin from MIPAV.
- To remove all plugins and start over with a "fresh" MIPAV install:
- Close all copies of MIPAV.
- Locate your plugins directory. Typically, it is
c:\Users\username\mipav\pluginson windows systems and/home/username/mipav/pluginson Linix/Unix/Solaris systems. - We recommend that you make a complete backup of all files in this directory.
- Remove all files in the plugins directory.
- Restart MIPAV.
- Poof -- no more plugins.
Advanced Removal
- On a rare occasion, you may want to remove the additional settings and files that JIST creates for your "module" library.
- Locate your mipav directory (i.e., the parent of the plugins directory above)
- Edit
mipav.preferences - Find the preferences line that begins with "MAPS_Library_Directory". Delete the directory that follows the =.
- Remove this line from
mipav.preferencesand save.
NOTE: All user-specific JIST preferences are stored in JistUserPreferences.xml in the library directory.
