You’ve found some tools/resources that fit your criteria, either through browsing or searching, and now you need to choose which will work best for your research. NITRC provides several ways to view the resulting list of tools/resources in order to compare them: Tool List, Attribute Comparison, and Tool/Resource Table. NITRC also provides ratings and reviews from other users to help you decide which tool/resource fits your needs the best.

Tool List
The Tool List is the best display for viewing the ratings and reviews of registered tools/resources, as well as viewing the tool/resource registration date and levels of activity. It is also a helpful view when you wish to review registered tools/resources alphabetically.
Attribute Comparison
The Attribute Comparison is the best display for viewing as many tools/resources as possible in one screen shot due to how the real estate is configured. It conveniently displays green checkmarks when the tool/resource is categorized using the Attribute List .
Tool/Resource Table
The Tool/Resource Table best displays the various scientific categories assigned to NITRC tools/resources. As such, it is an easy jumping point for filtering your results by these categories as they are listed directly under the star ratings,
Ratings and Reviews
NITRC provides the ability for all registered users to rate and review the public tools/resources hosted on NITRC. Users rate tools/resources on overall performance, ease of installation, and adequate documentation or support. Other users may view the star ratings or read the details of the review in order to help them decide on the best tool/resource for their needs.
When you Browse by Attribute the star ratings are shown for all listed tools/resources for each of the available views (Tool List, Attribute Comparison, and Tool/Resource Table). As you narrow down the list of tools/resources that match your criteria, you may want to compare the star ratings to see what other users think of those tools/resources. On the Tool List view, you may click the "Read Reviews" link to see what the users say about the tool/resource; on the Attribute Comparison and Tool/Resource Table view, you may click on the stars to get to the user reviews.
