If you are writing a grant proposal that involves developing a tool or resource, please consider using NITRC to host your development and dissemination efforts and feel free to include the following (provided by Christine Fennema Notestine) in your proposal and/or in your Resource Sharing Plan:

We anticipate that these investigations may generate novel scientific techniques including neuroimaging analytic and statistical methods. In the spirit of scientific exchange and integrity these developed techniques will be freely available to other investigators once they have been presented in publication. These tools will be made available to the public through the Neuroimaging Informatics Tools and Resources Clearinghouse (NITRC; http://www.nitrc.org/). NITRC is funded by the National Institutes of Health Blueprint for Neuroscience Research to facilitate finding and comparing structural and functional neuroimaging tools and resources.
