- The tool/resource search now defaults to a "relevance" search (so that tools and resources with names that match the search term appear at the top of the results)
- Tool/resource administrators may now reorder and remove files from the "Download Now" list
- Added a "Support" tab in the project menu that tool/resource administrators can customize to their desired support page
- When tool/resource administrators upload files to the file release system, the file type is automatically determined from the extension

- Improved Organization and Custom Sorting of Tool/Resource Menus: Tool/Resource menus are now split into three sections to provide consistency across tools. The third section holds custom-named menu items and can be reordered by the Tool/Resource Administrator.
- WYSIWYG Editor for Wiki: MediaWiki pages can now be edited using the FCK graphical editor.
- New Download and Monitor Reports: Tool/Resource Administrators now have access to download and monitor reports for their tool (go to Admin/Stats to view the reports).
- Adding Multiple Tool/Resource Members by Email Addresses: The Tool/Resource Administrator can now invite multiple people to join their team by entering a list of email addresses (go to Admin and look at the bottom of the member list). Email addresses associated with existing NITRC users are automatically joined.
- Web Site in User Profile: Users can now specify a web address in their user profile.
- Handling of 2G+ Files for Download: Instructions were added as to how tools and resources can use sftp/ftp to release files larger than 2G.
- Bug Fixes
- Security for Uploaded Images in MediaWiki: Images can now be associated with a namespace, which protects them from being modified by users outside the namespace.

- On the tool summary and topic tree pages, a question-mark is placed next to every license and topic assignment that leads to a definition of that item. (Topic definitions are populated by an editor available to the site administrator and are being populated.)
- PubMed References in PHPWiki
- A reference to a PubMed article can be made in a tool's Wiki through the tag "[pubmed:#]", where "#" is the ID of the article. For example, [pubmed:314159] appears as: Katzen, B T, et al. Percutaneous transhepatic portal venography in the diagnosis and management of gastroesophageal varices. South Med J. 1979 Aug; 72 (8): 942-5.
- User Interface Enhancements
- The member list on the tool page lists members by role.
- Unanswered questions are not displayed when viewing a tool's reviews.
- For newly registered tools, a "Reference" role is created to allow NITRC users to request to become references for that tool.
- The user guide, system text, and error text has been updated to support the newly added features.

- Links to External Tool Resources and Files
- Tool Administrators are now able to create tool-specific menu items that point to resources on external Web sites. (This is available through Admin/Custom Tool Menu Entries.)
- Tool Administrators are now able to create file releases through NITRC that pass through to external Web sites. NITRC will keep track of the number of click-throughs for each release link.
- Updated Menu System
- Tool resources are listed alphabetically in the tool menu. This allows consistency across projects while enabling tool administrators to add their own custom menu items.
- Updated Web Content
- A number or error messages have been rewritten to make them more informative.

- Tool Reviews
- Registered users are now able to rate and review the tools listed on NITRC.
- Average ratings appear on tool summary pages as well as on the fMRI Tool Tree.
- All users are able to peruse entered tool/resource reviews.

- The default GForge tabbed interface has been replaced with pull-down menus.
- The menu system converts to an HTML list when !JavaScript is disabled for accessibility.
- Updated Web Content
- Many default GForge pages have been customized for NITRC and are more informative.
