If you are looking for help with the features and functionality within NITRC, you’ve come to the right place. For general NITRC neuroimaging community information or to find tools and resources that will help with your research, please check out the Users sections. If you host or want to host a tool, database, community, discussion group, or other resource on NITRC, please check out the Administrators sections.
If you cannot find the information you need in this User Guide, the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page or other NITRC Community wiki page may have answers to your questions.
Finally, you may need some help from the NITRC team. Please check out the Contact Information page, which is accessed by clicking the "Contact Us" sub-menu link under "Support." The Contact Information page contains several useful links and e-mail addresses. You may send general questions about NITRC functionality to the NITRC moderator, who will provide a response within two business days. We have also provided a Feedback page, which is accessed by clicking the "Feedback" sub-menu link under "Support," so you can easily send comments to the site moderator. If you have discovered a bug in NITRC or would like to submit an enhancement request for NITRC, please use the Submit NITRC Bug or Submit NITRC Feature Request sub-menu link under "Support." If you need help with using these Tracker pages, refer to the Tool/Resource Features Tracker section of this User Guide. Click the View NITRC Bug/Feature Requests sub-menu link under "Support" to see bugs or requests already entered.
Users
Getting Started: Describes NITRC in general, including who would use NITRC and what they can do with this site. This is where you will find a description of the Home page and information on user registration and membership.
Browse: Describes the general information available to all users on NITRC. This includes the features found under the "Community" and "Tools & Resources" menus.
Search: Describes how to find specific items of interest in NITRC.
Compare: Describes the features available in NITRC that will help you find the right tool/resource to fit your needs.
Upload/Download: Details how to access and download the software available on NITRC, as well as how to upload/download code snippets that may be of interest to the neuroimaging community.
Personalize: Describes how registered users can customize NITRC for easier navigation and management of the information they access frequently. This includes the features found under the "My NITRC" menu.
Tool/Resource Features: Details all the functions available through the tool/resource menu.
Administrators
Getting Started: Describes what you should do once your tool/resource registration has been approved.
Registration: Details how to make your software, database, community, discussion group, or other resource part of NITRC.
Administration: Describes the key functions necessary to administer the information that your tool/resource makes available to NITRC users. This includes management of Membership, Public Information, Images, Tool/Resource History, Statistics, and Tool/Resource Associations. It also includes administration of the following tool/resource features: Docs, Files, Forums, Mailing Lists, News, Surveys, Tasks, and Trackers.
Other Features: Describes other features available for tool/resource administrators and developers. This includes the Web Services Interface, NITRC-Hosted Web Site, Tool/Resource Access Tracking (Google Analytics), Tool/Resource Data Backup and Offline Access, Remote Data Access, and Biositemaps.
