nitrc:User Guide - Tool/Resource Feature: Downloads
From NITRC Wiki
Clicking the tool/resource menu "Downloads" link shows a list of files or downloads that you can access for the tool/resource. The FRS administrators use this feature to upload files to the NITRC site and to make these files available to the users in an easy and efficient way. Files may be divided in different packages, and packages can be monitored by registered users; these users will receive an e-mail every time a new file has been added to the package.
Viewing and Downloading Files
Click the tool/resource menu "Downloads" link to see a list of files available to you for the tool/resource.
| Note: The tool/resource FRS administrators can apply different levels of access to packages and releases for their tool/resource. Observers and non-members can only see active releases in active public packages. Tool/resource members can see active releases in active public and private packages. FRS administrators can access all releases in all packages for their tool/resource. |
The list of files includes the package name, the release name, the file name or URL name, the release date, the file size, the number of times the file has been viewed or downloaded, the architecture (processor) required for the file, and the file type.
| Note: A script is run nightly to remove spybot downloads from the overall download count. |
To see the version release notes and change log, click the release name. You may also view the release notes by simply placing the mouse over the release name; the release name will appear in the tool tip.
To view or download a file, click the file name or URL name. Depending on your browser and the file type, the file may display in your browser window, download and display with an appropriate application, or invoke the download dialog box.
Monitoring Files
If you are a registered user, you may monitor a package and be notified through e-mail of new releases to the package. Click the envelope icon next to the package name to start monitoring the package. If you would like to stop monitoring the package, go to your My NITRC page and click the trash can icon next to the package in the "Monitored FileModules" section.
