About NUTMEG
NUTMEG (Neurodynamic Utility Toolbox for Magnetoencephalo- and Electroencephalo- Graphy) is an MEG/EEG analysis toolbox for reconstructing the spatiotemporal dynamics of neural activations and overlaying them onto structural MR images. The toolbox runs under MATLAB in conjunction with SPM8 and can be used with the Linux/UNIX, Mac OS X, and even Windows platforms. NUTMEG is open source and distributed under a BSD-style license. The developers are current and former members and collaborators of the UCSF Biomagnetic Imaging Laboratory. The effort is currently coordinated by Dr. Sarang S. Dalal (presently at the University of Konstanz, Germany) and Dr. Johanna M. Zumer (presently at the Donders Institute, Radboud University, The Netherlands).

News
Aug 25, 2012 Meet the NUTMEG developers at the 2012 Biomag conference. NUTMEG will be presented at the 2012 Biomag satellite symposium on MEG analysis software on Aug 25 by Adrian Guggisberg; Sarang and Johanna will also be present.
Feb 15, 2012 NUTMEG v4.0b1 released! Several links to external software packages have been developed or enhanced: BEM head model construction using OpenMEEG (with nearly automated mesh generation with FSL, or semi-automated mesh generation with BrainVisa), plus enhanced links to FieldTrip.
Mar 17, 2011 New NUTMEG paper published.
Feb 17, 2010 Meet the NUTMEG developers at the 2010 Biomag and HBM conferences. NUTMEG will be presented at the 2010 Biomag satellite symposium on MEG analysis software on March 28 and an HBM course on EEG/MEG on June 6. Sarang, Johanna, Sri, and members of the UCSF Biomagnetic Imaging Lab will have other presentations during the main conference sessions as well.
Jan 8, 2010 NUTMEG v3.1 has been released! See below to download. This release contains various bug fixes, includes more support for EEG data, and improves support for 4D/BTi MEG data via the MSI>>Matlab tools.
Sep 1, 2009 NUTMEG v3.0 has been released! See below to download. This new version improves time-frequency functionality (including a GUI for single-CPU analyses), adds new statistical inference algorithms for source reconstruction, adds full compatibility with SPM8 for visualization of activations and spatial normalization, and of course fixes all sorts of bugs.
Jun 15, 2009 NUTMEG will be presented at the HBM EEG/MEG workshop on June 23. Sarang, Johanna, Sri, and members of the UCSF Biomagnetic Imaging Lab will be around for the whole conference too!
Jun 15, 2009 Stay tuned for the release of NUTMEG v3.0!
Oct 11, 2007 NUTMEG v2.0b3 is released! (includes NSEFALoc and Pimage for functional connectivity maps..and more.)
Mar 23, 2007 NUTMEG v2.0b2 is released! (includes SAKETINI, automatic VOI selection based on MNI template, and more...)
Jan 8, 2007 NUTMEG v2.0b1 is released! (includes Time-Frequency Beamforming, across-subject stats, and more...)

Version 4.0 beta 1 [February 15, 2012]
Konstanz/Donders/Geneva/UCSF users and collaborators, please download the SVN development version. Instructions are at SVN Repository Information and Tips.
NUTMEG presently requires SPM8.
Windows users, please note that older versions of WinZip can corrupt the extracted files, preventing MATLAB from successfully loading NUTMEG.
After downloading, please consider joining our mailing list for discussion and tips on using NUTMEG. (If this link returns a page error, this means the OCF site is temporarily down, beyond our control).
