Yes NITRC NeuroDebian FreeBSD, Linux, Other UNIX-like Yaroslav Halchenko This is a collaborative effort to package neuroscience-related software for the Debian operating system. The main goal of the project is to provide a versatile and convenient environment for neuroscientific research that is based on open-source software. To this end, the project offers a package repository that complements the main Debian (and Ubuntu) archive. NeuroDebian is not yet another Linux distribution, but rather an effort inside the Debian project itself. Software packages are fully integrated into the Debian system and from there will eventually migrate into Ubuntu as well. With NeuroDebian, installing and updating neuroscience software is no different from any other part of the operating system. Maintaining a research software environment becomes as easy as installing an editor. For example, installing FSL looks like: "apt-get install fsl" There is also virtual machine to test NeuroDebian on Windows or Mac OS. If you want to see your software packaged for Debian, please drop us a note. 2013-2-15 5 - Production/Stable/Mature Ubuntu 12.10 (quantal) 2012-7-25 5 - Production/Stable/Mature Ubuntu 11.10 (oneiric) 2012-7-25 5 - Production/Stable/Mature Ubuntu 11.04 (natty) 2012-7-25 5 - Production/Stable/Mature Ubuntu 12.04 (precise) 2011-2-06 5 - Production/Stable/Mature Debian 7.0 (wheezy) 2010-10-12 5 - Production/Stable/Mature Mac OS X 2010-10-12 5 - Production/Stable/Mature Ubuntu 10.04 (lucid) 2010-10-12 5 - Production/Stable/Mature Ubuntu 10.10 (maverick) 2010-4-28 5 - Production/Stable/Mature Windows 2010-4-27 5 - Production/Stable/Mature Ubuntu 8.10 (intrepid) 2010-4-27 5 - Production/Stable/Mature Ubuntu 9.10 (karmic) 2010-4-27 5 - Production/Stable/Mature Ubuntu 9.04 (jaunty) 2010-4-27 5 - Production/Stable/Mature Debian 6.0 (squeeze) 2010-4-27 5 - Production/Stable/Mature Debian unstable (sid) 2010-4-27 5 - Production/Stable/Mature Debian 5.0 (lenny) 2010-1-29 5 - Production/Stable/Mature Debian Stable NeuroDebian Other Software Resource, Platform or Development Environment, 5 - Production/Stable/Mature, Domain Independent, Console (Text Based), Gnome, KDE, Web Environment, Other Environment, Developers, End Users, System Administrators, Linux, FreeBSD, Other UNIX-like, AFNI BRIK, DICOM, MINC2, NIfTI-1, PDF - Portable Document Format, Other Format, bshort/bfloat, Philips PAR/REC http://www.nitrc.org/projects/neurodebian/, http://neuro.debian.net yoh@onerussian.com
