OASIS3 Resting State

Hello,

I am looking for some clarification regarding the resting state scans in the OASIS3 dataset. Does anyone happen to know if resting state is considered eyes open rest for this dataset, as cited in Choi, Yeo, and Buckner 2012? I just want to verify that it is eyes open rest, rather than something being displayed on the screen (e.g. fixation cross).

Thanks

Hello Nasim,

No, none of the OASIS scans that we labeled are longitudinal. However, we are getting ready to release a set of 20 subjects that were scanned twice and labeled twice (40 scans, from the OASIS "Reliability data").
Hello,

I have a question about the data. Are the manual labels on longitudinal dataset?

Thanks
If you have downloaded and found the Open Access Series of Imaging Studies (OASIS) MRI scans useful, you may also want to take a look at our results. Over the last few years, our team has painstakingly defined neuroanatomical regions for 50 of the OASIS scans. The regions include the usual structures of interest (ventricles, caudate, thalamus, cerebellum and brainstem, etc., and we've also applied the brainCOLOR cortical parcellation protocol. These are the best, most comprehensive manual segmentations available.

We release the database of labeled scans as a subscription and we have an optimized pipeline for labeling more scans so when you pay for the current batch, you're helping create the next one.

Please take a look at our "Manually Labeled MRI Brain Scan Database" resource here on NITRC for more information.

Thanks,
