I am writing to draw attention to important updates to the 1000 Functional Connectomes Project dataset on NITRC (www.nitrc.org/projects/fcon_1000).

1) There has been a correction to the NewYork_a dataset. It has come to our attention that the list of 59 subjects for the data-release accidentally included 25 adults with ADHD in place of 25 controls.  We sincerely apologize for this error.... However, our mistake is the world’s gain!
 
The NYU datasets on the 1000 Functional Connectomes Project site now include a NewYork_a_ADHD dataset containing the 25 adults with ADHD. Severity measures for ADHD participants are included in the release. Included in the 25 adult ADHD participants are the 20 datasets used in the following papers (see papers for assessment protocol):

Castellanos FX, Margulies DS, Kelly C, Uddin LQ, Ghaffari M, Kirsch A, Shaw D, Shehzad Z, Di Martino A, Biswal B, Sonuga-Barke EJ, Rotrosen J, Adler LA, Milham MP (2008). Cingulate-precuneus interactions: a new locus of dysfunction in adult attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. Biol Psychiatry. 63(3):332-7. 

Uddin LQ, Kelly AM, Biswal BB, Margulies DS, Shehzad Z, Shaw D, Ghaffari M, Rotrosen J, Adler LA, Castellanos FX, Milham MP (2008). Network homogeneity reveals decreased integrity of default-mode network in ADHD. J Neurosci Methods. 169(1):249-54. 

2) We replaced the 25 adults with ADHD in the NewYork_a dataset with healthy controls. In addition we included the developmental data described in:

Kelly AM, Di Martino A, Uddin LQ, Shehzad Z, Gee DG, Reiss PT, Margulies DS, Castellanos FX, Milham MP (2009). Cereb Cortex. 19(3): 640-57.

As a result the NewYork_a datset now includes 84 subjects ranging in age between 7 and 49 years of age. Included in the release is a document indicating which subjects underwent psychiatric evaluation to establish their status as healthy controls. We preserved all subject numbers included in the erroneous release.


3) The data contributed by Damien Fair and Bonny Nagel will be released shortly (next week). This dataset includes 17 subjects age 10-14. These subjects are included in:

Maturing thalamocortical functional connectivity across development. Fair DA, Bathula D, KL, Costa Dias TG, Blythe MS, Zhang D, Snyder AZ, Raichle ME,  Stevens AA and Nagel BJ (2010). Frontiers in Systems Neuroscience. 

Keep an eye out for more data to come this summer, as multiple sites have expressed their intent to contribute more data in the late summer/fall. If you have resting-state data, and would like to become a part of the project, please let us know.
