  <title>NITRC News Group Forum: jist-process-hypervisor---alpha-available</title>
  <link>http://www.nitrc.org/forum/forum.php?forum_id=2087</link>
<description>As we move to high performance computing environments, it is necessary to model approximate times and memory requirements for each task in order to ensure that resources are scheduled effectively. Predicting resource utilization is quite troubling. We have developed an extension to JIST that collects general statistics on module memory usage and running time and estimates resource requirements of future jobs. This is currently in alpha-stage and available for early debugging. You will see the &quot;hypervisor&quot; column in the process manager. We hope to have a production release this fall. </description>
