A number of evolutionary computational models have been proposed, including evolutionary algorithms, genetic algorithms, the evolution strategy, evolutionary programming, swarm intelligence and artificial life. This conference intends to be a major forum for scientists, engineers and practitioners interested in the study, analysis, design, modeling and implementation of evolvable systems, both theoretically and in a broad range of application fields. ECTA welcomes both theoretical research and practical applications. The conference also aims to foster hybrid approaches within evolutionary computation and also involving fuzzy computation and neural computation. ECTA 2013 is part of the International Joint Conference on Computational Intelligence (IJCCI 2013) that has 2 more conferences with very strong synergies between them, namely: - FCTA: International Conference on Fuzzy Computation Theory and Applications (http://www.fcta.ijcci.org) - NCTA: International Conference on Neural Computation Theory and Applications (http://www.ncta.ijcci.org) These three concurrent conferences are held in parallel and registration to one warrants delegates to attend all three.
