  <description>The new release of Slicer supports many exciting core features and a wide range of extensions to support applications in neuroscience, image guided therapy, and dozens of related research areas.  The software is open source with a BSD-style license and is fully python scriptable.  This release represents thousands of hours of effort by developers at dozens of institutions world-wide.
