  <title>NITRC News Group Forum: neurostars.org--a-q-a-site-for-neuroscience</title>
  <link>http://www.nitrc.org/forum/forum.php?forum_id=4194</link>
  <description>http://neurostars.org/

NeuroStars.org is a stackoverflow-like system to engage the Neuroinformatics and neurosciences communities.

Initially conceived by Istvan Albert's highly successful BioStar website within the Bioinformatics community:

http://www.ploscompbiol.org/article/info%3Adoi%2F10.1371%2Fjournal.pcbi.1002216

This site's focus is neuroinformatics and neuroscience. We welcome posts that are:

* Detailed and specific, written clearly and simply.

No question is too trivial or too &quot;newbie&quot;. Please use the search to see if your question has already been asked (perhaps even answered!) before you ask. But if you end up asking a question that has been asked before, that is fine too. Other users will hopefully edit in links to related or similar questions to help future visitors find their way.</description>
