NITRC News Group Forum: mgui-1.0.2-alpha-released

An alpha release of the modelGUI project is now available for download. This replaces the originally announced beta release, since the project still lacks adequate implementations for all intended features (see http://mgui.wikidot.com/milestones-core-1-0-0-beta). This download is a release for mgui-core, mgui-exec, and mgui-neuro.

This release does include many functional features, however, including:

2D and 3D rendering of meshes, volumes, polygons, vectors, and pointsets
Basic database functionality, and linking to shapes
I/O interfaces for a variety of file formats
Workspaces

The following features are implemented in part but require improvement:

Graph representations
XML functionality
Plotting
Projects

See http://mgui.wikidot.com/getting-started for instructions on getting started with the alpha version. You are invited to submit comments, bug reports, feature requests, etc.
