  <title>NITRC News Group Forum: version-2.0-will-be-released-</title>
  <link>http://www.nitrc.org/forum/forum.php?forum_id=6275</link>
<description>In this new version, the sparse patch-based level sets method and LINKS (http://www.unc.edu/~liwa/LINKS%20Learning-based%20multi-source%20IntegratioN%20frameworK%20for%20Segmentation%20of%20infant%20brain%20images.pdf) will be included, which will allow users more freedom to use their own data for training and classification to overcome the artifacts such as motion.
As iBEAT is becoming an increasingly popular tool in the community for infant-dedicated processing, we are applying for a grant that will support the continued development and maintenance of iBEAT. If funded, the grant will enable us to continue to keep iBEAT up to date with greater functionality. This includes cross-platform interoperability (e.g., Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X) and increased software flexibility, precision, and robustness. Additional modules, such as surface-based analysis, will also be released.
