bvbraintutor BrainTutor HD 2.2

What's New in Version 2.2

This maintenance update (2.2) provides the following improvements:
* Support for iPhone 5

New in version 2.1:
* An option in the "Settings dialog" to show non-selected areas with light colors; this helps to find regions in those atlases that cover only small parts of the brain (e.g. included functional areas).
* A new "Help" button showing an in-App User's Guide.
* Activity indicators that are shown when the app loads large MRI slice data files and 3D models (meshes).
* Minor bug fix: Slicing icons were not always shown correctly on iPad.

New in version 2.0 (major update):
* A new atlas and mesh for major subcortical structures.
* "Learn by touching" mode: Simply tap on a 3D brain model to reveal brain areas; areas can, of course, still be selected from the region list as in version 1.0.
* Suport for iPhone/iPod Touch (universal app) with identical features as the iPad version including the same high-resolution 1 mm MRI slice data and the same high-resolution reconstructed 3D models.
* Nicer colors for brain areas and corrections of text descriptions.
* Better performance and more beautiful 3D renderings through OpenGL ES 2.0 shaders.

bvbraintutor Brain Tutor 3D (for iPhone)

As the first release, the iPhone version of "BrainVoyager Brain Tutor" is now available in the AppStore containing all major features of the original desktop version. The iPhone "Brain Tutor 3D" program allows to:

1. manipulate (rotate, zoom, tranlate) cortex meshes (left or right hemisphere) and head mesh in real-time
2. slice in real-time through the head mesh using sagittal, axial or coronal slices
3. select information from four cortex partitioning schemes (atlases), including lobes, gyri, sulci and Brodmann areas.
4. visualize all regions of a partitioning scheme or to select a specific region, which is then visualized on the cortex meshes and on volume slices passing through the selected region
5. view text information about a selected region, including information about the location, function and connectivity of an area.
