**Redesigned settings**
- New settings user interface for improved clarity
- Live examples show how each setting changes the preview, the metadata panel and the Finder icons as you change it.
- New two-thumb slider for the intensity window.
- Each pane has its own reset button.
- For 4D images, each volume now gets its own intensity window by default. You can switch back to using volume 0''s window for all volumes in the Preview pane.

- Browsing a network share no longer makes Finder freeze or beachball while previews load, even over a slow VPN.
- Moving quickly through files on a network share no longer starts a full read for every file you pass.

- Closing a preview stops loading or decompressing almost immediately.
