Error running latest MRIcroGL v1.2 releases
I get a pop-up error when running MRIcroGL if I use the latest
releases. The pop-up states
'Access violation.'
'Press OK to ignore and risk data corruption.'
'Press Abort to kill the program.'
I can run the first release of MRIcroGL v1.2 without error, at least so far. I haven't tried all the releases.
I'm running Windows 10 64-bit, 32 MB of RAM, and have a fairly high-end Nvidia 3D graphics card. I ran it on another computer with the same error.
Both computers use AMD cpus, which might be the source of the problem.
Is anyone else getting this error?
Thanks,
Chris

RE: Error running latest MRIcroGL v1.2 releases
I just downloaded MRIcroGL for Windows 1.2.20210317 from here
https://www.nitrc.org/projects/mricrogl/
and it ran well. Have you tried starting the program from the command line with the "-R" argument to force a hard reset:
MRIcroGL -R
The tool has been tested and developed on AMD, Intel and ARM (for MacOS) CPUs, so that is not the issue.

RE: Error running latest MRIcroGL v1.2 releases
I have created a release for people with legacy computers built
before 2011 that do not support the CLMUL instruction. You can
download MRIcroGL_obsolete_windows.zip from here
https://github.com/rordenlab/MRIcroGL12/releases/tag/v1.2.20210317
I would only suggest that version for people who have obsolete computers, the instruction accelerates modern computers.
