Eta-squared effect size
Dear SDM users and creators,

My question is about including eta-squared as an effect size in SDM. As far as I understood, in the original articles eta-squared expressed the amount of explained signal variance between subjects, both within and between groups. In particular, "η2 indexes the effect size for the magnitude of the difference between the observed response and 0".

1. Should I include eta squared at all? How can I convert it for SDM analyses?
2. In case it is possible, should I select the between-group effect as a general rule? Or does this depend on the research question?

I also take this opportunity to share my appreciation of the whole SDM project!
My best wishes,

Linda
