Comparison of two Vaa3d plugins for image segmentation
Hello everyone!

I would like to discuss the difference of the two plugins which was both used for image segmentation in Vaa3D.

First plugin, image_segmentation plugin.
method of application:First  load a image file in Vaa3d, choose the image_segmentation, then choose Cell_Segmentation_GVF, then the Gradient vector flow based Segmentation, then select parameters(generally the default)
This function have helped to split soma from a neuron file very well.

Second plugin, swc2mask.
The input in Vaa3D is a swc file ,and output is an neuraonal image.
method of application: choose neuron_utilities, then swc_to_maskimage_cylinder_unit,then swc2mask.
It can be a great tool for generating image from a swc file.

The attached files are two images of these two plugins. Expect more discussion about the two plugins or other image segmentation plugins.
