CAT12 segmentation problem

I'm using CAT12 to conduct VBM analysis for children aged from 1 to 4 years old. I replaced the default TPM and DARTEL with the ones created from the CerebroMatic toolbox. However, the segmentation results were really weird-- the peripheral area of the gray matter was identified as white matter. Please see the attached files. Most of the subjects in one group have this problem, while the subjects in another group (the control group) don't. The analyze parameters were the same for these two groups. And the T1 images of the two groups were obtained from different scanners with different parameters. But I think this problem should not be result from the experimental effect. I wonder how to fix this problem? Thank you,
