SPM contrast manager presents mean on the left side as opposed to the right
Hi All,

Been racking our brains on this one but can't figure it out.

In our 2nd-level analysis, we are attempting to investigate the correlation between BOLD responses on high vs low-value conditions with task performance (RT Bias), after controlling for age and sex:

RT Bias ~ Age + Sex + Beta(H>L)

In the contrast manager, we should see columns from left to right as something like: RT Bias | Age | Sex | Beta/mean and our weighting would be 1 0 0 0.

However, erverytime we attempt to specify this the contrast manager consistently shows the opposite (left to right): Beta/mean | Age | Sex | RT Bias, and so we have to input our weightings as 0 0 0 1. A peer reviewer has pointed out an issue with this, suggesting that this actually specifies the following:

1 ~ Age + Sex + Beta(H>L) + RT Bias

Is this correct?

And if so, has anyone any advice what may be happening?

No matter how many times and different ways we specify the model the contrast manager shows the same output.

Best,

Jay
