test speed 3d rendering different video cards
Someone asked about speed test of different video cards. Both test images and programs of V3D are available for a bench test of the speed on different video cards.

* V3D downloading link: http://penglab.janelia.org/proj/v3d
* Bench test data sets: http://penglab.janelia.org/proj/v3d/ go to test data pages, use any of the image data. You can of course use any of your own test data.
* How to achieve speed report: go to 3D viewer after you load a 3D image using V3D, and then go to "Save movie" (top-right corner of the "Others" tab) . It will produce a preview for any rotation sequence you select. Then then at the end of the preview a dialog will pop-up telling you the speed. There will also prompt whether or not you want to save the movie, but you can ignore it.
