data typ post processing - 64bit
Dear all,

well, it seemed i'm a newbie doing image preprocessing. I deal with mri
data's of large animal brains (i'm veterinarian). Unfortunatly most of
the algorithms seemed to be adapted especially to humans but did not
work with animal data. Therefore I found the BIS a usefull tool in
combination with FIJI (imageJ derivate).

Central problem is the bias field correction (I use the vmware fsl -
centos 64 bit version): BIS does not work with float 32bit data - so I
tried the original sampeled 16bit room. Correction works fine - but
results were stored in Double64bit room - useless for other programms
like FIJI. Also, MRIcron could not transform the data to other bit
depth. Post processed images could NOT redefined into <64 bit using
BIS.

Are there a way to resample bit depth of the recieved data or change
it? Are there a way to specify output parameters of the bias
fieldcorrection concerning basic parameters such as bit depth and data
types?

Thanks a lot for your kindly reply!!! Hopefully somebody could help me!

Best, Björn

Under Image Processing/Modify select Cast Image and map the images to short -- this should do the trick. Good Lich. Xneios
