Problems Downloading Files
Hello all,

I am having difficulty downloading files from the "Downloads section". I am clicking what I am presuming to be the download URL, but get a stalled page load and no download box. I have a registered account with access and can't figure out immediately what the issue may be.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

RE: Problems Downloading Files
Hi William,

I'm sorry you run into these problems. I verified your account and that seems to be in order. Could you indicate which links are giving you the download problem?

Thanks,
Maarten

RE: Problems Downloading Files
Presently, I am using a Linux computer and am having difficulty downloading any of the .tar files. Any thoughts based on that? I will provide more information as I continue to try and see what the problem is.

Thanks,
William

RE: Problems Downloading Files
Hi William,

I'm sorry, but could you point to a specific link or tar file? That will make it easier to troubleshoot. Are you downloading the INDI or original FCP data? How are you downloading, straight of the downloads portion of the nitrc interface or through fcon_1000.projects.nitrc.org (http://fcon_1000.projects.nitrc.org/fcpC...)?

Thanks,
Maarten

RE: Problems Downloading Files
Hi Maarten,

Thank you for your help. I am trying to download from here: http://fcon_1000.projects.nitrc.org/fcpC... The data I am trying to download is the Baltimore data; this is really just a test download on my part.

As for whether it I am trying to download the INDI or original FCP data, I do not know. I am simply clicking the links in the previously mentioned link at the moment.

Thank you again.

RE: Problems Downloading Files
Hi William,

thanks for the extra info. I tried the baltimore link and some more links on that fcptable page and they all work for me. What browser are you using, maybe that's a problem? Maybe you've already tried another one? Are you getting an error message or is nothing happening? Did you try 'save link as' or something alike. Maybe your browser is trying to open the file, yet it will take a while for it to fully download (baltimore is + 1GB in size)

Alternatively you can go directly to http://www.nitrc.org/frs/?group_id=296, scroll down a bit an you'll find the same files and links.

Sorry I can't be of more help!

RE: Problems Downloading Files
Ah, the last suggestion did the job. I was underestimating the download time. I was able to get the file upon letting the download go.

And as a last request, is there any fast way to identify the type of subjects/patients used throughout these studies? I am looking for patients specifically with brain tumors and am trying my luck with this wonderful database.

RE: Problems Downloading Files
Hi William,

glad it worked out!

Unfortunately I have to disappoint you. There are no patients with brain tumors in the database. The original FCP data are all from healthy controls (except some from NYU which also released subjects with ADHD). With regard to clinical data, within INDI (fcon_1000.projects.nitrc.org) there is the ADHD200 which holds about 1000 datasets, half of them from children with ADHD. In addition, the end of the summer will welcome the release of ABIDE a repository for data of children with autism. I have no knowledge of openly available data from brain tumor patients...

Hope you still find our resource useful!
Best,
Maarten

Hi William,

No idea if this will be of
help/interest, but I came across this paper (with accompanying database
of brain tumour images) by accident the other day:
