compare 1 patient with controls
Dear conn experts,
 
I would like to examine altered task- & rest-related functional connectivity in two seminal patients (both are different from each other)
I acquired task & rest fMRI data from both patients and a group of matched controls (n = 11) & now want to compare each of the patients with the group of controls. For the BOLD-level analysis in SPM I used independent t-tests. According to Rik Hensons helpful draft explaining how to compare a single-patient with a group of controls. Based on Hensons outline I used indep. T-tests with indepenedence = yes, variance = equal, inputting the controls as first group (this gave me robust findings applying different tests to the data). Now,
(1)    I wonder whether I can implement a similar analysis in the CONN toolbox.
(2)    If yes: can I specify three groups as second level covariates using a definition like 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 1 2 (0 = controls / 1 = patient 1 / 2 = patient 2)
