CMTK macosx build
Hi Torsten,
I notice that the nitrc doesn't seem to have rolled up a macosx build of CMTK 3.3.0. Is there a reason for this? Is the build process manual? Also is there an option to still an option to build the macosx package installer via cmake i.e. to produce a dmg file? I couldn't find this anymore.
I would be happy to help with mac build infrastructure.
Many thanks,
Greg.

RE: CMTK macosx build
Hi Greg -
Indeed, no Mac build (yet), simply because I don't have a Mac available to me.
There has been no change to the build or packaging process compared with earlier versions, so if you run "make package" on Mac, you should still get a dmg (and I suppose also a .tar.gz) file.
If you made a package, I'd be happy to upload to NITRC (or give you upload permission, which would make sense anyway). If you'd rather give me a login on one of your Macs (assuming that's possible), then I'd be happy to make a build remotely myself. Whatever works best.
Best,
Torsten

RE: CMTK macosx build
I need to check but I think make package just gave me a tgz.
It would be great if you give me upload access. Unfortunately our macs are all behind a firewall.
Best, Greg.

RE: CMTK macosx build
Hi Greg -
Congratulations, you have just been promoted to Admin, so you should be able to upload files into the Downloads area now.
Re your proposed additions - since there is virtually no chance that I will ever be a user of this software again, I am going to let you proceed as you see fit, both in this instance and going forward. Obviously I'll be happy to offer an opinion if you're not sure whether something's a good idea or how to best do it.
Re DMG files - if "make package" doesn't make one, then simply run "cpack -G DMG" in the build directory (same where you call make). Hopefully, that will make a DMG package. There is of course a chance that I made that non-default because it's currently broken (some generators are more sensitive than others to exactly the right packaging settings), but let's deal with that when we get there.
Best,
Torsten

Looks like this is the command:cpack -G DragNDrop
