I'm attempting to do some studies using fMRI on mouse model.
I am curious if there are template of rat that could be used in my project.

One subsequent question this raises is the utility of mouse resources for application to the rat.

If applicable, there are a number of templates for mouse available from the Mouse BIRN (see http://www.nbirn.net/research/mouse/inde...)

In addition to atlases per se, also there is the use of an atlas to facilitate anatomic segmentation in the mouse:
