Voxels with value 0
Dear all

I have a few maps which, even after preprocessing, are slightly smaller than the standard brain template meaning they have values of 0 on z maps along the bottom of the vmPFC. I'd like to know if there is a way I can overcome this issue and what the software is currently doing with these voxels, both in whole-brain and ROI analysis as this area is a region I'm particularly interested in.

Many thanks in advance for your help,

Jo

RE: Voxels with value 0
Just to add, I'd particularly like to know how a jackknife analysis would treat these studies which have missing data as it seems to make the reliability estimates invalid, if some studies have no data in some areas but data in others.

Thanks,
Jo

RE: Voxels with value 0
Dear Jo,

all maps included in a meta-analysis should be no smaller than the mask of the meta-analysis. If any of the maps is smaller, you should create a new mask by intersecting the default mask with the map (you can do this with SDM imgcalc or a similar application). Afterwards, when conducting the SDM pre-processing, you should select the new mask rather than the default one.

Hope this helps,

Joaquim
