RE: Seed to Voxel Analysis
Hi Alfonso,
I'm sorry to press on this but I can't find answers from Conn's manual or from the help forum. We have just completed a seed to voxel analysis. We had previously carried out an ROI to ROI analysis and we're applying some of the same principles to this current seed to voxel analysis. We are looking at similarities and differences in FC between three groups of children and whether these FC patterns are correlated with clinical measures. This is what we're doing in the second level analysis: we select our Groups (group 1, group 2, group3), their scores (group 1 score, group 2 score, group 3 scores) and enter the following contrast (000100;000010;0000010) in the "Between-subject contrast". It's a resting state analysis so we enter "1" for between conditions contrast. We select all of our seeds and enter eye(6) for our between-sources contrasts. However, we are not certain what is the best way to explore the results from this point on. We have tried results explorer but we are uncertain what the results indicate. For example, when a cluster is significant, does that mean FC between the regions making up that cluster is correlated with our clinical measure? How do we determine the direction of the correlation (positive or negative correlation). How can we perform pair-wise comparisons to find out which group(s) may be responsible for the significant effects? If you could kindly provide some insight into these questions or suggest anything else that may be helpful, we would much appreciate it. Many thanks.

Best,
Diana.

We have just completed a seed (6 ROI regions) to voxel analysis in Conn and currently at the second-level analysis. This is a resting state study. We have three patient groups and would like to know:
1) If there are any connectivity patterns that are similar across the three groups – looking for common mechanism underlying all three disorders,
2) If these common FCs are correlated with specific symptoms (eg. Set shifting).

Could you please let us know which tools (results explorer, calculator, etc..) and what contrasts to use to answer these questions? Many many thanks for your help.
Best,
Diana.
