Staff Scientist opening at the OSU Biomedical Imaging Center
Oklahoma State University is seeking applications for a Staff Scientist to help build and maintain the MRI and psychophysiological research infrastructure at the new OSU Biomedical Imaging Center. The candidate will help Center-affiliated faculty and staff conduct cutting edge research, particularly in the areas of infant brain development, substance use disorder, childhood adversity, pain, and depression. The new Center is located along the Arkansas River just a few miles south of Tulsa's new Gathering Place, in a 26,000 square foot building devoted to supporting OSU's National Center for Wellness and Recovery, OSU Brain Initiative, and multiple large NIH-funded projects, including the Center for Integrative Research on Childhood Adversity (CIRCA) and the Healthy Brain and Child Development (HBCD) study. The Center houses a new Siemens Prisma 3T MRI, full fluid-based biomarker processing and long-term storage lab, psychophysiology and EEG suites, and extensive clinical research space. Oklahoma State University is a vibrant and growing land-grant university that values diversity and scholarship. The Center for Health Sciences and the Biomedical Imaging Center are located in Tulsa, which has a metro population of almost 1 million people, a low cost of living, and a rich cultural life (VisitTulsa.com).
