I am contacting you regarding an upcoming art show at the 2011
conference on human brain mapping, which will be held in June in the
city of Québec, Canada. I am a neuroscientist member of the
Neurobureau, an informal organization which aims at fostering
interactions between brain mapping and arts, amongst others. This art
exhibit will be an initiative of the Neurobureau, and will be hosted
as part of the conference. The HBM conference attracts over 2500
attendees each year for several days. I am sure this exhibit will
provide a lot of exposure to the artists, both in the neuroscience
community and the media, and will be a great opportunity to sell
pieces.
Any piece of art related to the brain or brain mapping will be
relevant for this exposition. Your work "fMRI jumping brain" would be
a perfect fit, as would be many of the beautiful pieces I have seen on
your website. I would like to know if you would be interested in
sending some pieces to be included in the exposition. At this stage we
are still sorting out the details of the event, but we will contact
you with more information early next year if you are interested. Would
you please let me know if you would agree in principle to participate
and how many pieces you would present.
Let me know if you have any questions. Best regards,
