Hi everyone,

I recently accepted a position back home in Brazil and will be moving there in the second semester of this year. Therefore we are looking for someone to fill in my shoes here in Dr. Mayberg's lab. Please pass this around for any potential candidate that you might know and recommend.

Here is the job description:

Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Applied Neuroimaging in Dr. Helen Mayberg’s lab at Emory University

This post-doctoral fellowship (PDF) will be focused on developing and applying novel computational methods to study the interactions between neural networks of the human brain using functional and structural neuroimaging data. This position will be in a multi-disciplinary lab focused on the study of the neurobiology of depression and mood regulation. Two main aims are proposed: 1) perform a joint multimodal imaging study (FMRI, DTI and PET) to identify neural networks involved in depression and antidepressant treatment response, and 2) continue development of analytic approaches to resting state fMRI data. Additional duties of this PDF will include overseeing the technical aspects of scan acquisition as well as conducting the image post-processing, analysis and display of all fMRI data acquired as part of ongoing depression studies. This position will include multiple opportunities for publications, national and international presentations, and collaborations with a wide range and clinical and basic science researchers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: PhD degree in a related science field and four years of research experience of which one year is in a supervisory role in a laboratory (this could have been concurrent with obtaining a PhD), OR equivalent combination of experience, education, and training. Must have extensive experience with imaging data, MATLAB, and other imaging software platforms used in performing various types of analyses on MRI and PET data.

To apply for the position, the candidate can directly contact me,

Thanks,
Alex
