The import of OpenMEEG BEM/leadfield matricies is supported as part of the
current OpenMEEG pipeline (see
http://www.nitrc.org/docman/view.php/111/1135/Guide%20for%20BEM%20modelling%20via%20BrainVISA/OpenMEEG
).

While Freesurfer surface meshes cannot be directly imported at this time,
adding this feature would not be difficult. The mesh needs to be read into
a matlab structure with the following format:

vol.cond = [cond1 cond2 cond3 ...] (conductivities of each layer)
vol.bnd(i).faces (the faces for the ith layer - mx3 matrix)
vol.bnd(i).vertices (the vertices for the ith layer - nx3 matrix)

We will add this feature soon as we are making improvements to the BEM
pipeline to allow for the integration of multiple segmentation/meshing
tools and BEM toolboxes.

Best Regards,

Dan
