Hi Octavian,
The problem is that Cartool's EPH format does not specify the channel labels. We therefore try to determine them from the EEG system you use. The function calls FieldTrip code that outputs channel labels for many different EEG systems. This is why you need FieldTrip here. However, Fieldtrip does not read Cartool files themselves.
For reading Brainstorm data, you can try the function nut_bst2nuts at the Matlab command line.
NUTMEG uses a volumetric source grid, not surfaces.
Hope this helps,
Adrian

Objet : [Nutmeg-users] import Cartool & brainstorm
Dear All,
I am new to Nutmeg, I use EEG/ecog data.
I want to import Cartool data and Brainstorm sensor data (ecog channels). When trying importing Cartool eph files, I get the following error:
"
Error using nut_import_Cartool_EPH (line 12)
Please download, and place in your Matlab path, Fieldtrip code
Error in nut_importmeg (line 166)
nut_import_Cartool_EPH(datapath);
Error while evaluating uicontrol Callback "
This references to ft_senslabels in the code. Do I have to use fieldtrip to import cartool ?
Also, how can I import brainstorm sensor data?
Also, if I import openmeeg bem constructed using a volumetric source space, is this OK with nutmeg, or I have to have a cortical surface-constrained one?
Thank you,
Octavian.
